Three Hills House is approached from a lane leading off Bovetown and then a private driveway upto the front of the house. The driveway offers extended parking and turning space for several vehicles. The drive then extends to the front porch, passing an ornamental pond on the left. The garden has been designed to take full advantage of the views, having been mainly terraced into two levels. On the first level there is a large seating/patio area with decking and loose chippings, enjoying a great degree of seclusion and privacy, taking in views across the moor to Admiral Hoods monument in the distance. Steps then lead down to the main garden, where there is a large 'orangery/glass house' (24' x 15'4), glazed on three sides with a glass roof, complete with raised beds, having also been extensively renovated by the current owner. The remainder of the garden is laid to lawn, with newly established flower and shrub beds, having further views over the town roof tops to St Johns church tower and the levels beyond.
The property is situated high above the town, giving it an almost unqiue view over Glastonbury's most renowned landmarks and far beyond. The town benefits from its good range of shops, restaurants, Inns, supermarkets, health centres etc. The historic town of Glastonbury is famous for its Tor and Abbey Ruins and is some 6 miles from the Cathedral City of Wells. The thriving centre of Street is 2 miles and offers more comprehensive facilities including both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, Strode Theatre and the complex of factory shopping outlets in Clarks Village. The nearest M5 motorway interchange at Dunball, Bridgwater (Junction 23) is 14 miles whilst Bristol, Bath, Taunton and Yeovil are all within commuting distance.
From our Glastonbury office in the centre of town, proceed to the top of the High Street and carry straight on over into Bovetown. Pass the turning for Rowley Road on your left and after approximately a further 400 yards, you will see a private lane on the left hand side, almost going back on itself. Follow the lane up the Hill, firstly passing Mount Avalon house, carry on past the second house and Three Hills House is the final house at the very top of the lane, with its own private driveway.
